Paul Wesley is a Polish-American actor, director, and producer. He was born on July 23, 1982 as Pawel Tomasz Wasilewski in New Brunswick, New Jersey. His parents were immigrants from Poland.
Paul Wesley became known for playing Lucas "Luke" Cates in the TV series Wolf Lake in 2001 and 2002, credited as Paul Wasilewski. In 2004, he was first credited as Paul Wesley. He appeared in various TV series as well as TV and cinema films. Since 2009, he porttrays Stefan Salvatore in the The Vampire Diaries TV series, co-starring Ian Somerhalder.
