Advertisement for Diesel Adidas jeans
Adidas Originals Denim by Diesel or short Diesel Adidas was a jeans collection by Diesel in cooperation with the German company Adidas, the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe.
History[]
The cooperation was announced in 2007. It was to start on February 1, 2008, and to last for four years. The jeans should be distributed exclusively through the Adidas Original stores.
First, two styles for men abd two for women were intended, but the product palette was later extended.
Design[]
The jeans were designed by adding Adidas features, such as the distinctive three parallel bars, to Diesel jeans. The bars appear at the side of the jeans and, with a reversed trouser leg, at the inseam. The Adidas logo appears at the 5th pocket and at the back label. Instead of the "eagle" embroidery at the back pocket, Diesel Adidas jeans have a straight line.
The styles were named after the original Diesel jeans styles, adding the prefix "adi" such as for example adi-viker.
